Are you having trouble getting your BlackBerry device to transmit GPS positions?

For BlackBerry OSes lower than v6:

Confirm mComet Application Permissions
1. Options> Advanced Options> Applications> mComet (hit edit button, chose “edit default permissions”, set all “Allow”)
Confirm GPS Location setting
2. Options> Advanced Options> GPS> (try to set location “On”)
Confirm Firewall setting
3. Options> Security Options> Firewall> Enable

For BlackBerry OSes v6 and higher:

Confirm mComet Application Permissions
1. Options> Device> Application Management> mComet (hit edit button, chose “edit default permissions”, set all “Allow”)
Confirm GPS Location setting
2. Options> Device> Location Setings (try to set location “On”)
Confirm Firewall setting
3. Options> Security> Firewall> Enable

If you’re still having trouble getting that GPS fix try the following:

Enable firewall
1. See Step 3 above
Reset firewall
2. See Step 3 above to make it to the Firewall screen. From there hit the menu button and select “Reset Settings”
Pop battery
3. With the device still powered on, remove the battery. Wait 10 seconds then replace the battery and power on the device normally.
